Testing Services
What exams can I take at the Chemistry Testing Center?
Only exams for Chemistry courses. Exams for other departments' courses must be scheduled through that department, the Campus Testing Center, or the D&A Office.
Do I need to be registered with the D&A office to use the Chemistry Testing Center?
Yes. Students must be registered with the D&A Office to take exams in the Chemistry Testing Center or have prior approval from their professor if their accommodations are still in progress with the D&A Office.
How do I register for exams?
My preferred time slot isn't showing up — what happened?
That time slot is full. The RegisterBlast system blocks off full testing times, so if a slot isn't available online, there are no spots left. Please choose a different time.
What hours are available for exams?
8:30am–5:00pm, Monday-Friday in WEL 2.302.
How far in advance do I need to register?
At least 36 hours before your exam. For example, for a 9:00am exam on Wednesday, students would need to register by 9:00pm the prior Monday.
Please note space in the Testing Center is limited and fills up quickly — sign up for all your exam dates as early as possible to guarantee a spot.
Will I receive a confirmation of my exam registration?
Yes. RegisterBlast will email students a confirmation detailing the date, time, duration, and location (WEL 2.302) of their exam.
What happens if I am late to my exam?
Students who arrive more than 30 minutes late will be marked as a "no show."
What if I need to cancel my exam?
Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance in RegisterBlast.
Who do I contact if I have questions about exam registration?
Please email testing@cm.utexas.edu or call 512- 471-1567.
