The Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce that Dmitry Eremin will join The University of Texas at Austin in January 2027 as an assistant professor. Dr. Eremin received his Ph.D. from the Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry prior to post-doctoral work at the University of Southern California. He is currently a Staff Scientist at Caltech. Dr. Eremin’s research combines materials science, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, artificial intelligence, and electron diffraction in order to elucidate how atomic structure influences chemical properties.
